Overview
At Bridges Day Nursery, our vision is to provide high-quality, safe and nurturing early years care where children are supported to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence.
We are looking for reliable and caring Bank Nursery Practitioners to join our friendly team in Headcorn. This role is ideal for qualified practitioners, but we also warmly welcome applications from those working towards a childcare qualification or individuals with strong experience working with young children who are looking for flexible, ad hoc work.
As a bank practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting our children and staff team during periods of staff sickness, holidays and busy times.
Responsibilities

Support children across the nursery in line with the EYFS

Help provide a safe, nurturing and engaging environment at all times

Build warm and trusting relationships with children and colleagues

Work flexibly across different age groups as needed

Support daily routines such as play activities, mealtimes, toileting and rest periods

Follow safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety procedures
-
Work collaboratively as part of the wider nursery team
About you
-
A Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification is desirable but not essential
-
Experience working with young children in a nursery, childcare or similar setting
-
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development

A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

Reliable, flexible and comfortable covering occasional short-notice shifts

Happy to work across different rooms and age groups
