About Bridges Day Nursery
Bridges Day Nursery is built on a calm and welcoming environment, where every
child is treated as an individual and given the opportunity to thrive. We follow the Early
Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), with a strong focus on learning through play, positive relationships, and rich early experiences.
Our Story
Bridges Day Nursery was founded by Craig and his family, with the aim of creating a warm, welcoming and high-quality setting for children and their families. Craig, who will also be the manager of the nursery, brings nearly 20 years of hands-on experience in early years education.

His career began in 2006 as an apprentice, and over the years he has worked across every role in nursery life — from practitioner and room leader to manager and area manager, supporting 11 nurseries across the South East for a national childcare group. His knowledge is grounded in real practice and a deep understanding of what children, families and staff need to thrive.

At Bridges, we’re not just here to offer childcare, we want to give children new experiences and parents peace of mind. Nappies and creams are included in our care because we believe in making life easier for families.

​Our approach is based on learning through play, inspired by Friedrich Froebel, who saw childhood as a time for imagination, discovery and growth. We support children’s independence and build on their natural curiosity through meaningful, hands-on experiences. We also know how important it is to stay connected. That’s why we use the Famly app to share updates with you throughout the day — from daily routines and meals to learning and milestones.
Our nursery is made up of three age-specific rooms, each thoughtfully designed to support children’s needs and development. Bridges Day Nursery is currently under renovation, so we don’t have images of the setting just yet — but we’d love to tell you more about the spaces we’ll be offering our little newcomers!
